The photo gallery above shows the development of Google’s Call Phone feature in Gmail. The Call phone feature is a cheap way to reach out to your contacts – loved ones, friends, colleagues. It’s very cool and rates in India, Germany, UK, Canada, US and China re very low indeed. If you haven’t tried it yet, better do. The rates of Google’s Gmail Call Phone function is much lower compared to Skype. We also heard from users that the voice calls are clear also. You just need to have a good headset to listen to the other person in the other end to attain a clear conversation. Or, you could also use your computer speakers and microphone to make enjoy the call.
Knowing Google’s resources, the Call Phone in Gmail will still be improved. On its first day of official launch, Technology Talks reported that it has already made 1 Million calls from all over the world. The bandwidth used to make these calls happen is enormous as using a PC to Call a phone requires a lot of nodes to be used in transferring voice data especially with international calls.
