Google GTalk Chat App Not Working in iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPad Tablet PC
The Google product GTalk Chat App is not enjoying good reviews these days. First, this is a paid iPhone app. The fact that some amount is involved is already a turn off to many iPod Touch and iPad Tablet users alike.
With Google GTalk, Google promises iPhone users “real-time chat from almost anywhere on your iPhone/iPod-Touch. Chat with friends and family using Google Chat – Take your instant messaging with you.”
However, many users, even this author has experienced errors in logging in. Not only is the login problem the issues encountered. Some of us even experienced looking at blank screens after “successfully” logging in, as if we’re lost in the wild.
Unlike the GTalk for desktop PC, the iPhone app is not doing well in terms of performance.
Perhaps Google need to fix some bugs and test it more thoroughly before releasing a patch or an update to this application (released on December 20, 2010).
But if you want to test GTalk on iPhone 4 or iTouch 4 yourself, download it and pay $0.99 via iTunes or Apple App Store.
